Why is this employee not offered for this appointment?

Start by checking the employee’s profile, schedule, absences, and what is already planned in the day. Several factors can explain the result; check them one at a time before changing the configuration.

01Describe the context

Record the appointment or situation being tested

Before changing a setting, gather the elements needed to reproduce and compare the situation.

01Mode

AM, PM, evening period, or exact time slot.

02Date

Date targeted by the request.

03Period or time slot

Time or range used in the journey.

04Address or territory

Only when this information is relevant.

05Package and options

Exact composition of the request.

06Duration of the package and options

Duration resulting from the selected items.

07Expected employee

The profile you expected to see proposed.

08Observed result

What actually appears in the interface.

Also record the page or view used, including a specific employee or “all staff” when that option is available. Use only a non-sensitive identifier to refer to a customer, address, or appointment.

02Check the employee

Check the profile, schedule, and settings that apply

Check the configured framework before reviewing constraints specific to the day.

Profile and journey

  • The profile type, administrative or mobile.
  • How it matches the tested journey, particularly when that journey uses mobile-account field features and views.
  • The settings applicable to the observed context.

Account status. An active account allows sign-in. This status alone is not enough to make the employee available or cause them to appear in every journey.

Work settings

  • One-hour time slots, when this mode is used.
  • Overtime allowed.
  • Break and time-between-customers settings.

Schedule and territory

  • Open or closed days.
  • Usual start and end times.
  • Territory associated with the day when this feature is available and relevant.

Temporary absence

  • Start date.
  • End date.
  • Whether the absence matches the tested period.
03Review the day

Compare the request with what is already planned

The result may also depend on what is already planned for the target day.

Observable items in the day

  • Appointments already planned.
  • Breaks.
  • Visible travel.
  • Time remaining in the period or time slot.
  • Duration resulting from the selected package and options.
  • Allowed overtime.
  • The end time or other visible limits.
  • The result in the employee view and, when available, in the “all staff” view.

Is the employee still missing from the workflow you tested?

Note the date, period, expected employee and the layer already checked. Keep only the non-sensitive information needed to explain the difference.
